JA’s AstroBowl – One Small Step For You.  One Giant Leap for Our Kids!

The JA Bowl-A-Thon is one of our largest and most popular fundraising events, offering the opportunity for the public at large to get involved with Bakersfield's student population.  Caring adults invest their time and effort to seek out pledges from friends, family and co-workers for this children’s benefit culminating in a two-hour, two-game celebration at their local bowling center.   Getting started is easy… Select a company coordinator to recruit team captains who in turn select four other members forming a team of five.  A $25 personal commitment reserves a place on the team.  Additional fundraising averages at about $175 per player.  Participants play two games (shoes included) and receive a really cool t-shirt commemorating the event and their commitment to the children.  Get Started Today!    With a little help from our friends… Bowling centers through out Bakersfield and the Central Valley support this year-round event.  Recognizing the importance of JA’s cause, centers are available on all days and operating hours for this company-driven event.    The participants… Bowl-A-Thon is a high-energy, team-building activity that leaves workers feeling good about themselves, each other and their employer.  It’s a chance to really feel like one of the team and to be a part of something larger than you.   The children… This year we will try to raise $75,000 dollars to sponsor nearly 4,000 of the 17,000 students that will be served in the 2007-2008 school year.  Students will be provided a financial literacy program that reaches far beyond economics, career exploration and leadership skills.  JA inspires students to achieve!   Learn More About JA Bowl-A-Thon 661-328-9373     BACK TO HOME PAGE
