Susan Bogosian

Susan Bogosian is a Vice President and Branch Manager for Wells Fargo Bank, where she is responsible for the coaching and development of a diverse Sales Staff & Service Team as well as business acquisition and retention.  Originally, upon graduating from high school, Susan pursued a career in the fashion industry, attending the San Francisco School of Fashion Design.   Susan began her banking career as a teller in a small community bank, holding a variety of positions, including Commercial Loans Officer, Operations Manager and Branch Manager. 

 

Susan Joined the Junior Achievement of Bakersfield Board in 2005, after three years as a JA Classroom Volunteer.  “My manager encouraged me to participate in the high school program for seniors-which I thoroughly enjoyed.  I believe there is a crucial need for all of our children to learn and know about financial responsibility, JA is a community platform that allows me to help them.”

 

Susan moved to Bakersfield in 1976 to start her family.  She has two grown children, one living in San Francisco and one in Bakersfield.  Susan has a grandchild, which she describes as “they joy of my life!”

Rachel Franco

Rachel Franco is the Senior Group Leader for the Warehouse Department at the Target Distribution Center in Shafter.  She has been with Target for five years with various roles from Operations to Human Resources. 

 

Rachel is a native of Flint, Michigan and moved to Bakersfield nine years ago.  She is a very loud and proud alumnus of Michigan State University with a BA in Advertising and Marketing.  Rachel is married to a Special Education Teacher for West High School.  They have two Britney Spaniels named Rocky and Gunner.  "I am excited about helping and watching Junior Achievement grow in Kern County. 

 

Christine Frazier

Kern County Superintendent of Schools

Christine L. Frazier has worked in public education more than 30 years. During her tenure she served as a classroom teacher, school principal, assistant superintendent and school district superintendent. She joined the Office of the Kern County Superintendent of Schools in 1996 and currently is associate superintendent.

In this capacity she oversees and provides leadership to more than 1,800 employees. Many of her assignments involve providing fiscal and management assistance to schools in and outside of Kern County. In recent years, she has been part of a state team assigned to develop fiscal recovery plans for large urban school districts throughout the state. 

In addition to her work, she teaches and prepares educators seeking to become school administrators.

 

A native of Arizona, she obtained her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and her master’s from California State University, Bakersfield and doctorate from the University of the Pacific. She and her husband, John, have three children, a son and two daughters. Two have earned their college degrees and a third child now attends college. 

 

Community activities include serving on the boards of Junior Achievement of Bakersfield and the Boys and Girls Club of Bakersfield. She is a graduate of Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Bakersfield program. She also is a member of the Selective Service board and holds leadership posts in professional organizations.

 

Christine also served on the American Institute for Research’s professional judgment panel to conduct a California school funding adequacy study. Christine was chosen among only 18 other professionals throughout California to participate in this project.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bill Froning

Bill Froning has been a resident of Bakersfield since 2004, when he joined Bright House Networks as Vice President of Finance.  In this capacity he has responsibility for Accounting, Financial Planning, Billing Systems, Purchasing, and Warehouse operations.  He has been in the telecommunications industry since 1981.  A native of Oakland, CA, he spent most of his career in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Bakersfield.  He also spent two years working in the Seattle, WA area.  Bill obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and his MBA from California State University East Bay.

 

Bill has two sons and his community involvement activities have included Junior Achievement, leadership programs with high school students, and coaching  Little League baseball and basketball.

Gabriela Mello

Gabriela Mello was born in Salinas, California and raised in Tepatitlan Jalisco, Mexico. She came to the U.S. in1986. She attended Hartnell College in Salinas, CA and Fresno State University where she obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies. She is the second of five children in a Hispanic, migrant household and was the fist to obtain a college degree.

 

Gabriela started her carrier in Banking in 1991 with Wells Fargo Bank where she worked her way up to the position of Branch Manager. She joined Citibank in 2003 and currently holds the position of Community Relations Officer for the Silicon and Central Valley Regions.  Gabriela currently holds a board position with  Arte Americas and the Fresno Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

 

Gabriela has been married to Jose Mello, Jr. for twelve years.  They reside in Bakersfield and have two daughters, Megan and Mariah who are their pride and joy.

Pam Sisco

Pam began her career with State Farm Insurance in 1971 in Jacksonville, FL.  During her tenure, she has held various support, underwriting and management positions.  She has relocated to Frederick, MD; Bloomington, IL; Charlottesville, VA; and Bakersfield, CA (in 1999) during her 36 years with the company.  Pam is the Commercial Fire Manager for California and has operation centers in Bakersfield and Rohnert Park.  

 

She received her bachelors' degree from the University of North Florida as well as the following insurance designations:  Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters; Chartered Life Underwriter; and Chartered Financial Consultant.   Pam also serves on the board of the Bakersfield Homeless Center.  She is married to her husband, Mike, who retired in 2006 from State Farm Insurance.
